“The Founders”
The ColorOnly founding duo brings the ideal combination of financial, startup, and salon expertise to the table. COO Steve Duchin is a 4th generation salon professional whose family has been in the industry since 1917. He has over 25 years in the business in his own right, and over 10 years in direct to consumer and eCommerce – with a skill set that includes marketing and design. A few years back, Mr. Duchin was approached by entrepreneur & financial expert Stephen Drescher with an idea: to transform the traditional salon experience using technology. After extensive R&D, the pair eventually created the ColorOnly “30/30 Concept”. Now serving as our CEO, Mr. Drescher has worked with startups for over a decade and has significant experience in the investment banking world. His specialties have included corporate transactional work, commercial litigation, and M&A. Mr. Duchin heads up our creative & technical vision – focusing on innovation, marketing, operations, and messaging for our company. Mr. Drescher is responsible for steering our R&D vision and for establishing relationships with our engineering, manufacturing, & finance partners.
“The Team”
Fran Drescher – Brand Ambassador has had an extremely successful career in film and television. Most notably in Saturday Night Fever in (1977), This is Spinal Tap (1984), The Nanny (1993-2000). She was nominated for two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy Television Series during the show’s run. Fran has provided the voice for Eunice in the Hotel Transylvania movie franchise (2012-2021). On February 4, 2014, Drescher made her Broadway debut in Cinderella as stepmother Madame and is currently set to star in the new 2020 NBC comedy Indebted. She is an author of multiple books and the founder of Cancer Schmancer a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that all women’s cancers be diagnosed while in Stage 1, the most curable stage.
Ray Johnson – CFO – MBA, Harvard; DBA, Florida; BSEE, Michigan. Ray understands the unique challenges that companies face. Based on his successes, he has developed proven methods for raising capital quickly and optimizing businesses successfully. He provides advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, private and public fund raising, product licensing, and corporate finance.
Ken Weiner, Advisory Board Member – Managing Member KVB & Associates; retired executive (formerly Swiss Re, Credit Suisse) Ken’s extensive experience as a Chief Risk Officer & Head of Group Operational Risk Management (Swiss Re) and leadership as Head of Internal Audit (Credit Suisse) positions him to advise on capital raising, financing and operational aspects of ColorOnly. Recent entrepreneurial endeavors via KVB & Associates (Asset Management and Private Equity) compliments Ken’s corporate executive experience and will provide value to ColorOnly growth plans. Starting his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse, Ken stands ready to provide leadership on ColorOnly governance practices.
Ray MacKeen – Advisory Board Member – VP Whiting – Turner Contracting Company Ray is a Vice President with one of the most prestigious contracting firms in the building industry. He has spent his entire 22-year career with Whiting-Turner and has been involved in projects totaling over a half billion dollars. Ray’s expertise allows us to maximize our efficiency in growth and expansion.
